What is Lease Share-back?
This is a scheme whereby short- or long-term leasing customers get to list their vehicle on our platform to earn extra income while the vehicle is not in use.

What is the process of listing my car on Tribecar?
Simply do so by following the steps below:
- Click on the link above and register your interest by filling in the information like brand, model and year of car, package preferred, name, email and mobile number.
- We shall contact you within 3-5 working days to request for more details about the vehicle and selected dates to list the vehicle on our platform.
- Upon successful sign up, we will liaise with you about the installation of security system in your vehicle. You will need to drive the vehicle to our office for installation; Once installation is completed, we will notify you for vehicle collection.

How many days do I have to rent my car out?

What if I need to use my car?
We understand that there are times whereby you will need to use the vehicle. We will strongly discourage you to take back your vehicle less than the minimum commitment period as there might be advance booking and this will cause inconvenience to our users. However, if there is really a need to, it is advisable for you to let us know in advance so that we can make necessary arrangement. An inconvenience fee will apply according to case-by-case basis if there is no advance notice given to us

What if I cannot return my vehicle on time for handover?

What do I have to do for my car to be rented out?
Upon successful registration, we will liaise with you to bring the vehicle to our office to install the device. Thereafter, according to your package stipulated timing, just place your car key in the glove compartment of the car, ensure that the vehicle is clean, take photos of the vehicle’s aesthetic condition and proceed to lock your car using our mobile app.

What if there are damages to the vehicle?
If you discover damages to the vehicle upon takeover, do take a picture of the damage and upload it on the mobile app before driving off. Due to the nature of car-sharing, we seek for your understanding that damages smaller than the size of 50 cent coin, small scratches, dings and dents on the vehicle is inevitable however, we will do our best to investigate if we receive the damage report.

What happens if my car gets into an accident?
If our member gets into an accident, they will contact Tribecar and Tribecar will advise the user on the necessary steps to take accordingly. Thereafter, we will contact your leasing company to arrange for the vehicle to be sent for repair.

What if I cannot find my personal items in the vehicle?
Please do not leave any valuable or religious items in the vehicle as the hirer and yourself should be responsible for your own belongings. You may choose to make a police report for the loss of item(s).

Why am I unable to locate the car?
Please ensure that you are at the carpark from the takeover period (no earlier) and check to see if the vehicle has been parked at a different lot. If cannot be found, log in to your mobile app and click on the need help button and inform our customer service agent. We will investigate on our end and give you an update. In the event if the vehicle was not parked at the designated area, please take a photo and send it to us. We will reimburse you accordingly.

Why am I unable to lock or unlock the vehicle?
Ensure that you are unlocking the vehicle only within your scheme time frame. Please call our hotline via the Need Help button if you require assistance to retrieve your item between the handover and takeover period or having issues with locking/unlocking the car.

Fuel Policy
If you have selected the Weekend package, you will need to ensure fuel level is at full prior to handover. If you have selected the Day or Night package, you will need to maintain half tank fuel level before handover. It is mandatory for you to take a picture of the fuel gauge before handover and after takeover. If our hirer were to collect your vehicle with less than what is stated in the agreement, an inconvenience fee will be chargeable according to our penalty policy.

Vehicle Cleanliness Policy
We believe that both you and our users share the same responsibility to keep the vehicle as clean as possible. We understand that vehicle cleanliness is subjected to each person’s preference. Due to the nature of car-sharing, it is inevitable that cleanliness might not be as expected. Vehicle cleanliness should be based on taxi standards. Do note that small amounts of trash, sands or dirt that can be removed by shaking off or vacuuming will not be considered as unacceptable. Should the condition of the car's cleanliness be unacceptable, please take a photo of the vehicle before you drive off and provide the image to us with a timestamp indicating the time of event. Upon completion of verification and assessment, a penalty fee will be applicable accordingly as per our Cleanliness Policy.
Terms and Conditions
Leasee will need to ensure that they have been authorised by the registered owner of the vehicle to list vehicle on Tribecar’s platform when the vehicle is not in use.
Leasee will need to ensure that the vehicle’s condition conforms to all Tribecar’s requirements, regulations and policies.
It is leasee’s responsibility to regularly check the vehicle for any mechanical and aesthetic defects or damages before takeover and handover of the vehicle. Since the vehicle will be used for sharing on Tribecar’s platform, normal wear and tear and deterioration of the vehicle condition is to be expected. If there are new damages to the vehicle upon takeover, leasee is required to upload the images through the web/mobile app before driving off. Leasee will also need to ensure that the vehicle is in a safe and road-worthy condition.
Leasee is responsible to do their due diligence to ensure that the vehicle has a reasonable amount of engine oil, auto-transmission oil, radiator water, non-balding tyres and functioning air con at all times. If failed to perform such checks, it may result in the damage to the Vehicle and Tribecar reserves its right to demand for compensation fee.
Leasee is required to respond to any calls or feedback from Tribecar with regards to the vehicle condition. If Tribecar believes that the vehicle does not comply with reasonable standards, Tribecar may notify and reserve the right to remove or decline listing of the vehicle until its concerns have been resolved.
Leasee have agreed to rent out the vehicle to Tribecar for a minimum period of 3 consecutive months by listing it on Tribecar’s platform. Leasee will need to ensure that the vehicle is available and ready for use from (Friday 7pm to Monday 7am for Weekend package or Monday to Sunday 6am – 6pm for the Day package, Monday to Sunday 6pm – 6am for the Night package) inclusive of public holidays if the public holiday coincides with the listing period.
It is mandatory for leasee to take images of the fuel gauge/dashboard with timestamp on it and upload it through the web/mobile app prior to the handover of the vehicle. The vehicle must be at least full fuel tank before handover of the vehicle for the Weekend package. For Day or Night package, leasee is required to handover the vehicle with at least ½ tank full. Penalty fees of $53.50 will apply if Tribecar receives 3 feedbacks from drivers stating that they have collected the vehicle with less than what was stated in the agreement.
To create a better experience for both Tribecar’s members and yourself, Tribecar strongly discourages smoking within the vehicle. If Tribecar receives feedback from our members stating that the vehicle cleanliness is in an unacceptable condition, an inconvenience fee of $21.40 will be imposed.
Leasee will need to disclose to Tribecar where the vehicle will be parked initially (carpark, deck and range of lot numbers) and that will be the vehicle’s designated location. Leasee is required to handover the vehicle at its designated location otherwise an inconvenience fee of $53.50 will be imposed.
For late handover of the vehicle, leasee will be charged $10.70 for every 15 minutes block (or part thereof). Should the handover of the vehicle be delayed beyond 8 hours, the vehicle will not be listed on Tribecar’s platform for the day and an additional inconvenience fee of $53.50 will be imposed.
There is a minimum commitment period of 3 consecutive months. In the event of early termination, $160.50 will be imposed for the uninstallation of device in the vehicle.
If the device is found to be tampered by me upon investigation, $214 will be chargeable. If the device is completely damaged, $1070 will be imposed.
Leasee will need to submit the availability dates of the vehicle to list on Tribecar’s platform on every 15th and 30th or 31st of the month.
With every cancellation or amendments done to the listing, a fee of $10.70 will be chargeable. For cancellation or adjustment made 2 weeks before listing of vehicle, there will be no cancellation fee involved. For cancellation or adjustment made after confirmation of vehicle’s listing and booking(s) have been accepted, a cancellation fee of $10.70 will be applied and there will be an additional inconvenience fee of $53.50 with every cancellation or adjustment.
The vehicle’s key should be placed inside the vehicle’s glove compartment prior to handover of vehicle. In the event if Tribecar’s members are unable to locate the vehicle’s key, an inconvenience fee of $53.50 will be chargeable.
Tribecar will not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings and valuables. Leasee will need to remove all religious related items from the vehicle.
Leasee shall indemnify and hold Tribecar harmless from and against all reasonable costs, expenses or damages that Tribecar may suffer or incur, arising out of or in connection with the breach of this Agreement, including the costs of repair, repossession or recovery.
Leasee acknowledges and agrees that the use of the Vehicles involves the risks of death, injury and property damage, and accepts all such risks arising out of or in connection with the use of the Vehicles and Motorcycles.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable laws, save in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Tribecar, Tribecar shall not be liable to the leasee or, the Authorised Driver(s) or any other person or entity for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, loss of data, loss of use or costs of obtaining substitute services) arising out of the use, inability to use, unauthorised access to or use or misuse of the Services, whether based upon warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if Tribecar has been advised of the possibility of such damages or losses.
